What is required to create a website?
Three things mainly
1. Some sort of web site creation software. Probably the best isMacromedia Dreamweaver though there are others such as MS Frontpage or Adobe GoLive (here is a link to a site that compares webcreation software )
2. A domain name. There are lots of domain name sellers around, I used UKreg (a ".co.uk" or ".me.uk" only cost £2.95 per). Be warned though you can pay silly money for a domain name as some companines buy good domain names then charge you hundreds of pounds for them. Either way you own them but it depends how badly you want your specific domain name.
3 A web host. Again there are lots of web hosting companies out there. I'd recommend Deals4 to host my sites (they start from as little as £25 for 50Mb of Web space). They give some excellent service and really interesting stats i.e. they can tell me how many unique visitors there have been, what IP address they have, what search phrase the visitors use to find the site, what search engines have spidered your sites etc.
